What I Do: Your Journey to Feeling Better

Understanding How We Can Work Together

Taking the step to come to therapy can feel uncertain. You might be wondering, “What will it actually be like?” This page is here to help you understand the process and how it can create meaningful change in your life.Β

My role is to provide a supportive and consistent space where you can untangle your thoughts, make sense of your feelings, and find a path forward that feels right for you.

What to Expect in Our Sessions

Our work together is a collaboration, built on safety and trust. Here’s what you can generally expect:

A Space Just for You

For 50 minutes each week, this time is entirely yours. This is a place where you can speak freely about anything that's on your mind, without fear of judgment.

You Lead the Way

There is no agenda other than what you bring. Some people come in knowing exactly what they want to talk about; others just feel a general sense of unease. Wherever you are is exactly where we begin.

True, Deep Listening

I will listen to not just your words, but the feelings behind them. My goal is to understand your inner world so deeply that you can begin to understand it more clearly yourself.

Finding Your Own Answers

You have a vast inner wisdom. My focus is on helping you connect with it. I will not give you advice or tell you what to do. Instead, I will be a reflective partner, helping you explore your options and uncover the strengths you already possess.

How Person-Centred Counselling Helps

You might be asking, “How does just talking help?” When you feel truly heard and accepted for who you are, something powerful happens.

This supportive relationship can help you:

  • πŸƒ Process difficult experiences, past or present.
  • πŸƒ Build self-compassion and quiet your inner critic.

People come to me for support with a wide range of challenges, including:

  • πŸƒ Anxiety & Worry: Feeling constantly on edge, panic, or overwhelming fear.

  • πŸƒ A General Sense That β€œSomething Isn’t Right”: You don’t need a specific label to deserve support.
